I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
